Flowers created around your day
The Botanical Company is an award-winning wedding florist in Surrey, founded by Elizabeth “Lizzie” Newcombe and based in Hambledon in the Surrey Hills. Our wedding work is rooted in accomplished professional floristry, thoughtful design and an understanding that the flowers should feel inseparable from the setting, season and atmosphere of the celebration.
We create bespoke wedding flowers throughout Surrey, from bridal bouquets, bridesmaid flowers and buttonholes through to church flowers, ceremony arrangements, floral arches, aisle flowers, wedding centrepieces, reception florals and ambitious large-scale installations. Nothing is selected from a fixed wedding package. Each floral scheme is developed around the couple and venue.
From our Hambledon studio, we work across Guildford, Godalming, Cranleigh, Haslemere, Farnham, Dorking, Reigate, Woking, Cobham, Esher, Weybridge and the wider county, together with our neighbouring Surrey Hills communities of Witley, Milford, Chiddingfold, Dunsfold, Hascombe, Bramley, Wonersh, Shamley Green, Busbridge and beyond.
Lizzie's wedding work includes celebrations at Gate Street Barn and The Hyde Estate, alongside the breadth of luxury wedding and event floristry represented across The Botanical Company's portfolio. We also welcome wedding commissions for exceptional Surrey and South East venues including Ramster Hall, Syon Park, Goodwood House and Cowdray House.
For couples searching for a luxury wedding florist in Surrey, our aim is not simply to fill a venue with flowers. We consider scale, architecture, natural light, colour, season and movement so that everything from the bridal bouquet to the largest installation forms part of one coherent floral story.

Olivia & Jack
Olivia and Jack’s mid-July wedding at Syon Park was timeless, classic and beautifully romantic. Their ceremony took place inside Syon House, where the flowers needed to feel elegant enough for the historic setting while still retaining softness and natural movement.
White hydrangeas, blush roses, white delphiniums and scented garden roses formed the heart of the floral palette. At the entrance, we created a statement floral design to adorn the staircase, giving guests an immediate sense of the floral story as they arrived.
Two statement pedestals and aisle arrangements continued the flowers through the ceremony, with height, volume and delicate colour carefully balanced against the scale of Syon House.

Amy & Charlie
Amy and Charlie came to our Hambledon studio wanting the feeling of an untamed English garden brought into a historic estate. Rather than conventional formal wedding arrangements, the brief called for abundance, movement and a sense that the flowers had naturally grown into their surroundings.
Inspired by the landscape of the Surrey Hills, we worked with soft blush, dusky rose and deep forest green. Trailing jasmine and wild delphiniums were used to create growth-like floral installations around the stone pillars, deliberately softening the boundary between the flowers and the architecture.
For the reception, asymmetrical low-profile arrangements allowed conversation to flow naturally across the tables, while taller wild stems caught the candlelight and continued the relaxed garden language of the ceremony.
This is what bespoke Surrey wedding floristry means to us: the bridal flowers, ceremony design and reception styling are developed together so that every arrangement feels purposeful and belongs to the same day.

India & Will
India and Will were married at Cowdray House between Christmas and New Year, with a rich winter floral palette developed around one flower they particularly loved: burgundy hydrangeas.
Those hydrangeas appeared throughout the celebration alongside open roses, thistles and seasonal flowers, creating depth, texture and warmth without losing the romance of the day.
The flowers were designed to feel completely at home within the country-house setting, carrying the same winter colour story from the personal flowers into the larger venue arrangements.

Surrey
Sabrina & Tom
Sabrina and Tom’s wedding called for a completely different floral language: architectural, immersive and large enough to respond properly to the scale of the venue while retaining the intimacy of the celebration.
We began by studying how natural light moved through the reception space and developed large suspended chandelier wreaths that drew the eye upwards. Hundreds of stems of ivory roses, blush hydrangeas and lisianthus created a floral canopy that felt both ethereal and substantial.
At table level, moss and fern runners were punctuated with clusters of flowers that echoed the suspended installations above. Lavender and garden roses continued the floral story from ceremony into reception and added fragrance as well as colour and texture.
For us, exceptional wedding flowers in Surrey should do more than decorate the room. They can alter its proportions, guide the eye and change how a space feels, while every bouquet and table arrangement still belongs naturally within the overall design.

Gate Street Barn · Bramley, Surrey
Beth & Charlie
Beth and Charlie’s August wedding at Gate Street Barn was super chilled and relaxed, with gorgeous mixes of seasonal flowers throughout the venue styled as though they had been picked straight from the garden.
Both the ceremony and reception took place at Gate Street Barn. We provided foliage to adorn the chandeliers and seasonal flowers for generous milk churn displays, helping the floral story move naturally through the space.
Beth’s bridesmaids wore different colours, so their bouquets were designed to reflect the dresses while still belonging to one wider scheme. Larkspur, lisianthus, clematis, stocks and sweet peas brought scent, movement and a soft summer-garden quality.

Ridge Farm
Lauren & Chris
Lauren and Chris’s July wedding was relaxed, summery and filled with flowers designed to look as though they had been cut straight from the garden.
Their ceremony took place outside in the woodlands, where the floral design worked with the natural green backdrop rather than competing with it. Roses, sweet peas, Ammi visnaga, flowering mint and other seasonal flowers created softness, scent and natural movement.
For the reception inside the Pool House, we created suspended arrangements of seasonal flowers and foliage. The overhead designs brought a real wow factor, drawing the eye upwards and giving guests the feeling of being surrounded by the floral scheme.

Lizzie from The Botanical Company did all of the floral arrangements for our wedding last summer, and we couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out! She did a fantastic job of interpreting what we wanted. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and really brought the whole look of the day together. Our wedding day was incredibly hot, but all of the arrangements held up beautifully from the ceremony through to the evening. Lizzie was also so lovely to work with throughout the planning process. She was friendly, professional and responsive, and everything was delivered and set up perfectly on the day.

Lizzie did our wedding flowers back in May and is utterly amazing. She was a lovely, calm presence during the planning process, and made us feel confident from the initial quote and proposal, to the sample flowers she showed us, to seeing her crafting the chandelier wreaths at Gate Street the day before the wedding. On the day itself, she arrived with the most stunning bouquet, bringing tears to us all. I am so very glad a friend recommended her, and that I have a piece of her work pressed and framed with our photos.

We recently engaged Lizzie and her team to provide the flowers for my daughter's wedding at the Hyde Estate. From our very first meeting with Lizzie through to the big day, Lizzie has just been an absolute pleasure to deal with. She completely understood my daughter's brief and then took it to another level and the flowers on the day were nothing short of spectacular and far exceeded our expectations. Thank you Lizzie for helping to make Amy's wedding day so very special.
